612^th Story on Wikipedia

The 612^th Tank Destroyer Battalion thanks Brian Phelps for entering our story in the Wikipedia on-line encyclopedia.

The CO of the 395^th Infantry Regiment, Lt. Col. McClernand "Mac" Butler, was married to Brian's mom's 1^st cousin, Madge Grimes.  Mac was a dearly loved family member.  Brian felt his unit needed some recognition, and wrote an article about it on Wikipedia.  His article mentions the 612^th's essential role in defending Hofen during the Battle of the Bulge.  Read his
