Success Factors I Can Bring to Your Company

I can bring the following key skills to your organization:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Identified business and technical requirements for Ford of Europe instrument clusters.  Prepared the business proposal along with demonstration prototypes resulting in the Electronics Division winning the Mondeo / Contour / Mystic cluster business.

BUSINESS PLANNING

  • Contributed to Electronics Division’s annual business plan resulting in aggressive yet realistic objectives met by our business unit.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

  • Created the vision for Visteon’s Super Integrated cockpit using structured analysis and structured design methods resulting in a convincing demonstration of Visteon’s advanced technology to customers and Wall Street analysts.

TECHNICAL PLANNING

  • Actively participated in the Electronics Division’s annual technical planning effort.  Technical analysis of competitive products and projections of competitive technology resulted in effective resource deployment.

SYSTEMIC THINKING

  • Adapted the structured software peer review process to system requirement reviews.  Fewer requirement changes along with fewer errors in requirements resulted in reduced resource requirements and a $250K per year savings.

ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT

  • Defined system engineering’s role in development of Ford electrical/electronic systems through organizational “White Paper” presentations to senior management resulting in today’s multi-national system engineering organization.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

  • Developed Ford’s electronic odometer by researching alternative non-volatile memory technologies and creating the memory storage algorithm which overcame a critical memory wear out mechanism resulting in the vehicle odometer design used for over 20 years.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Supervised development of Ford’s 1986 Continental instrument cluster program resulting in the launch of two new significant technologies, on-time, and within budget.
