COMPANY “A” 612^th TANK DESTROYER BATTALION

 Pursuant to authority contained in Section IV, WD Circular 333 (1943) and GO 16, Headquarters 99^th Infantry Division dated 6 March 1945, the officers and enlisted men of Company “A”, 612^th Tank Destroyer Battalion and those assigned or attached to this unit for duty with the 3^rd Battalion, 395^th Infantry Regiment during the period of 16 to 19 December 1944 near Hofen, Germany are entitled to wear the Distinguished Unit Badge for outstanding performance of duty in action against the enemy during this period.
