PATENTS

I have eight patents.  Three are in the area of color Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs), two for vehicle odometer algorithms, one for a software correction method and two are for circuit designs.

Specifically:

1974

Awarded patent for "Coulometer Emissions Maintenance Warning System" (U.S. Patent no. 3,938,128).  Awarded Canadian patent (no. 1064131) on 10/9/79.

1985

Filed an invention disclosure (no. 85-131) for a "Multi-Colored Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Achieving Three or More Colors for Each Segment Using Color Polarization". Awarded Canadian patent (no. 1270583) on 6/19/90.

1985

Filed an invention disclosure (no.85267) for a "Method of Correcting Microcomputer Software Errors With Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM)".  Awarded patent in 1990 (U.S. Patent no. 4,905,200).

1986

Filed a U.S. Patent application (no. 826,437) for an "Improved Multi-Color Liquid Crystal Display Achieving a Color Change Between 'On' and 'Off' Segments Using Color Polarization" (Invention Disclosure no. 85160) along with coinventors Joseph Sanctorum and Joseph Umpirowicz.

1986

Filed a patent application for a "Color Selectable Liquid Crystal Display System" (Invention Disclosure no. 85131) along with coinventor Frederick Porter.  Awarded patent in 1990 (U.S. Patent no. 4,867,536).

1987

Awarded patent for the “Electronic Odometer” (U.S. Patent no. 4,710,888).

1987

Awarded patent for "A BiDirectional Data Transfer Circuit that is Directionally Responsive to the Impedance Condition of an Associated Input/Output Port of a Microcomputer" (U.S. Patent no. 4,703,198).

1989

Awarded patent for an "Electronic Odometer" (U.S. Patent no. 4,803,646).
